When we took down the Knit Knot Tree we kept the knitted parts (some recycled into the textile totems), and some found their way into this box we made for the Storybox project . The project was started by “professional storyteller Kevin Cordi in 1995 and is a large decorated “Story Box” that travels around the world and comes back to the original place one year later. It will be launched very soon from a school in Ohio then to Florida’s Story Lab and making the way to Oregon and California.” We had so much fun putting this together. We decoupaged the Yellow Springs guide on the inside and I stitched a knitted pocket (another left over from the knit knot tree) inside to hold a cd. You can see more pictures on jafabrit’s art blog.
