A fellow blogger (Ansie) tipped me off about one of my photos of the Knit Knot Tree being included in their magazine article “So You Want a Revolution” with an interview of Mandy Moore. Mandy and Leanne Prain wrote the book Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crotchet and Knit Graffiti ( Arsenal Pulp Press).

I am still surprised by the inclusion, but I guess us putting a sweater on a tree continues to amuse. It is listed in the chapter titled Artistic License (Page 187) and you know I have one of those LOL!

Nancy and I are submitting pieces to go into the Yellow Springs Story Box and I decided to make a piece that shows Nancy’s poem on the back.

Blessed be this gentle tree
That patiently allows The knitted swag of knotted loops
Upon it’s graceful bows.
A strange conceit to dress a tree,
When in good time
It’s own sweet leaves
Will gown it with such splendor.
It’s not the dress
But the tree
That causes all the wonder.
