This pole is dedicated to all the heroes in our lives.

Who are the heroes’ in your life? Add their name to the pole on a piece of felt and attach to the pole. You can use the pen provided or take home a patch and stitch their name onto it. If you would like  us to add a name we can do that for you, and if you also wish to share a special story about your hero  email us :  jafagirlart @ yahoo.com.

Last I checked the hero pole is filling up fast.

Art Tour for Rand McNally contestants

In Street Art, yarnbombing, Yellow Springs on June 29, 2011 at 4:51 pm

What fun to show Traveling Joan  and her daughter Traveling Jules (who are NOW  bonafide Jafa’s )on a quick tour of the Public Art around Yellow Springs. We are so glad they liked the “colorful flair” in Yellow Springs. Nancy and I gave them a couple of knit twits to yarnbomb with and Joan yarn bombed a window fence on Xenia Avenue

and Traveling Jules yarnbombed her camera

Didn’t take much to get them into the Jafa Spirit, they were raring to go and I can see why they were picked for the FUN category of the Rand McNally/USA Today Best of the Road Rally.

King’s Yard tree craft bombed

In craftbombing, knit graffiti, Street Art, textile graffiti, yarnbombing on April 22, 2010 at 6:14 pm

We finally finished the tree in Kings Yard which is now called “Queen of Hearts” . A local Tarot Card reader in Kings Yard, Donnie Rose, named it for us.  It was inspired by a wrapped yarn tree in china.
